I went down to the river

Gift in hand

Earnest to pray

Desperate to just commune with 

Her

I've taken this walk

So many times before

She understands my need

For Her to baptise me often

This world is so loud

Leaves me with gaping wounds

I need her saltwater

To tend my wounds

I am more seawater

Than human at this point

I emerge reborn
